Turmeric Latte (Golden Milk) Recipe

Turmeric latte served in a class cup with turmeric root and powdered turmeric

This is a simple, warming drink that I often describe as a hug in a mug.


We’ve used ground spices for ease, but fresh turmeric or ginger would work beautifully too. You can also add cloves, cardamom, or any other warming spices you enjoy.


Ingredients

• 200ml milk of choice

• ½ -1tsp ground turmeric


Optional (to taste)

• Grind of black pepper

• ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

• ¼ tsp ground ginger

• A few drops of vanilla extract

• Dash of honey or maple syrup

Cardamom, cloves, or other warming spices


Method

1. Put all the ingredients into a small saucepan and stir over a medium heat.

2. Warm gently until hot but not boiling.

3. Pour into a mug and enjoy.
