for Cancer: Feel & Do Better
When you are living with cancer - whether you are newly diagnosed, in the middle of treatment, or recovering - it can be hard to know what to eat and what to focus on. There is so much advice online, much of it conflicting, and it often isn’t tailored to you or your situation.
I offer specialist, personalised cancer nutrition support to help you feel and do as well as you can, during treatment, after treatment, and for the future. My aim is to take the confusion away and give you practical advice you can trust.

Support designed around you
Many people come to me feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information and advice they have encountered - from well meaning friends and family, social media, books, and websites.
You don't have to work through it all on your own. I'll take that pressure off, bringing together the best evidence and experience to guide you, while listening carefully to what matters most to you. Together, we’ll focus on what’s truly helpful and relevant for your situation - giving you both clarity and reassurance about your nutrition choices.
My clients often tell me they leave our sessions feeling calmer, clearer, and more motivated - with practical ways to nourish and support their body through treatment and beyond.

What we'll cover
Every person’s situation is different, and no two cancer experiences are the same.
Many of the people I work with have already read a great deal of general advice online, but what they really want is support that is tailored to them. That’s why we’ll take the time to explore what matters most to you and work through it together. I focus on providing advice that is both evidence-based and deeply personalised - so you can feel confident you are making the right choices for your health and wellbeing.
Here are just some of the areas we can explore:

What To Eat
What to eat before, during and after treatment - and how to adapt as things change

Improving Nutrition
Nutrition to support healing and recovery through and post cancer treatment

Side Effects
Managing complex side effects such as fatigue, nausea, bowel issues, and weight changes

Metabolic Health
Protecting bone health, heart health, blood sugar, and long-term metabolic health

Practical Tips

Supplements
Guidance on nutritional supplements, probiotics, and meal replacements - what’s safe, what’s helpful, and what to avoid

Future Health
Supporting your future health - including reducing the risk of cancer recurrence, and helping you feel as well and resilient as you can

Actionable Advice
Bringing it all together - helping you translate good advice into a way of eating that works for you, day to day
No question is too small or too complex. We'll work through it step by step, at a pace that feels right for you.

About the Cancer Dietitian
Meredy Birdi
With over 25 years’ experience as a registered oncology dietitian and nutritional therapist, I combine both clinical and whole-person approaches to cancer nutrition. I have worked across NHS and private cancer services, including my role as a Macmillan dietitian. I hold an honorary dietetic position in the NHS, and am proud to support several cancer charities.
Clients often tell me they value having a trusted guide - someone who can help them navigate complex questions, balance different priorities, and find practical ways to support their nutrition and their wellbeing through every stage of their cancer experience. I offer realistic, compassionate, evidence-informed advice - no extreme diets, no false promises, just practical support that helps you feel more in control of your nutrition and your health.
How to get started
Support is offered through a structured programme - because that’s what makes the biggest difference.Whether you choose the three or five-session option, you’ll be supported with clear, practical guidance that evolves with you. This approach gives you space to ask questions, make changes at your own pace, and take care of your nutrition and your health in a way that feels manageable and right for you.
